Expo Returns Labor Day Weekend!
Tom Joyner, host of the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show, is back with the Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion Expo and all of its unique offerings. The Expo takes place in Orlando, FL during labor-day weekend and features over 100 vendors. This year the Expo brings award-winning authors, jewelry and clothing retailers, colleges and universities and entertainment artists to Family Reunion guests and the public. The Family Expo is FREE and open to the public from Thursday, Sept 2nd – Sunday, Sept 5th. The Expo will be filled with chart topping artists entertaining audiences throughout the entire weekend including Jaheim, El Debarge, Leela James, Corrine Bailey Rae and Donnell Jones who will grace audiences with their soulful ballads as well as R&B multi-platinum groups Jagged Edge and Dru Hill performing on the Expo stage. Also, the Tom Joyner Morning Show will broadcast live from the expo on Friday, September 3rd, starting at 6am with hosts Tom Joyner, Sybil Wilkes, and J. Anthony Brown, contributors Roland Martin and Gary Owen and special celebrity performances by Faith Evans and Eric Benet. Education and entertainment are a top priority at the Family Expo. TJMS celebrity personalities such as Roland Martin, Sybil Wilkes and Donna Richardson Joyner will host special seminar presentations which address black beauty, health in America and other controversial topics. The college & community area will host many Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) where students can collect information about their favorite universities and learn about the application process. In addition to celebrity seminars, Allstate, Ford, Cracker Barrel and The Nielsen Company are just a few sponsors with exciting presentations supporting this memorable event. BET/Centric will hold auditions, which are open to the public, for the chance to be a red carpet correspondent at the Soul Train Awards. Also, NASA will be educating families about space exploration and involve students in activities that will motivate them to become the scientists and engineers of the future. Plus the Kid’s Zone will be buzzing with games and activities from the Orlando Science Center, EA Sports and the Orlando Magic.
