HOW IT WORKS!

Ads are sold by the Column-Inch.  What this means is this: Newspaper formats are based on Columns.  In the case of The Florida Sun, our format is based on four (4) columns.  This unit comprises the horizontal component.

The Vertical length of our pages is sixteen (16) inches, which is the vertical component.

All prices are quoted based on the number of columns by vertical inches.  For example, an Ad space with dimensions 2 columns x 4 inches would equal 8 col-inches.

Our open rate is $15 per col-inch; so our 8 col-inch Ad would cost (8 x 15) or $120 per insertion (per week) since we are a Weekly newspaper.
